OSHA’s Crystalline Silica Rule

Many questions are now starting to emerge concerning OSHA’s released updated rules regarding silica in the workplace with implementation for contractors in 2017.  The rules include two standards, one for general industry and a second for the construction industry.   These new rules manage exposure of respirable silica in the workplace and include establishment of an exposure action level for compliance and reduction of the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL).
